With the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man I thought it would be an excellent time to do a post on Fleer Pac-man cards/stickers.
There are three sets of cards Fleer produced based on the Pac-man game:
Pac-Man 1980
Ms. Pac-Man 1981
Super Pac-Man 1982
The first Pac-Man card series had two different wrappers white/yellow background and each wax-pack contained 3 stickers, 3 rub-off game cards and a stick of bubble gum.
There's quite a few variations of the same cards with different eyes on Pac-man and colors. This set had 54 stickers with the characters usually saying clever things with word bubbles.
Some of these are pretty bizarre...
Kiss my Pac-man?
Pac-man does it with monsters?
Here are the sticker scans:
The game cards could be scratched off like lottery tickets to try and find the safe path through.
The second set of cards was a Ms. Pac-man set in 1981. This set also had 54 stickers along with the game cards.
This series has some odd sticker cards also...
The rub-off game cards are similar.
The third Pac-man card series was called Super Pac-man and came out in 1982. I'm not sure if this series had the rub-offs, it may have been just the 54 stickers this time? Once again some really strange cards.
This time Pac-man has discovered Viagra.
Also Pac-man has a craving for Burger King?
There is a contest involved in this series.
I wonder if it's too late to enter?
